Oz, A série tem como proposta mostrar o cotidiano da prisão de segurança máxima Oswald , também conhecida como “Oz” , incluindo todas as suas subdivisões como o corredor da morte , Emerald City , Unidade B , entre outras. A série tem como principal marca o realismo presente em suas cenas , incluindo temas que até hoje , poucas vezes foram abordados na Tv com tanta intensidade , como sexo , violência e consumo de drogas. Aos olhos de quem não conhece a série , Oz pode parecer demasiadamente violentoa e sem atrativos , já que é conhecida principalmente pela violência explícita em suas cenas, porém o seriado vai muito além disso , ele aborda outras vertentes como política,  religião , fatores psicológicos e alguns temas polêmicos como a pena de morte.
